Shay and Pam Come Over to Play

It's been forever since we've hung out with Shay.
She is getting so very grown up so very fast.
Oh, and Julian loves the swing. :)

Visitors

Jon's brothers Steve and Doug left and we are back to our quiet house again (ok, quiet except for Julian's high pitched shrieking whenever he is 'redirected.')

Sadly, I am flipping exhausted and have nothing witty to write- but I wanted to get some photos up before they are old news.

Comfy seat.

And...good night.

Thank you SBP!!

SBP is my secret blog pal. One of the ladies out there in the ether started the SBPs where adoption bloggers sign up to play, kind of like secret santas. You mention your preferences and dislikes when you sign up.

Well, a few days ago we got the cutest care package with goodies...toddler spoons (who knew the reason it was such a challenge feeding that baby was the spoons were too small?!), some cutie tootie toys, a teether frog (can never have too many teethers- the boy is starting to chew on my leather desk chair!), and an all natural Burt's Bees baby bath stuff set. Perfect!

Muchas gracias SBP...your thoughts and care are very, very appreciated.

Doug's First Day

Jon's brother Doug arrived yesterday afternoon from his semester in Barcelona via California. He went with Jon and Julian to swim class and got some cool shots. We have great video and if anyone knows how to get video from i-Movie to blogger, pleeeaaase let me know. I tried to go through UTube and couldn't get it to work.

Anyway, I had the day off today and we spent the afternoon downtown hanging out and picking out furniture for my new office. Julian is on a new schedule as we're trying to get him to bed before he gets really tired. Jon and I are trying to follow suit.

So on that note, goodnight!

Little Bruiser and Chitty Chatter

Julian decided to give the kettle bell a try at the Academy today.
Don't tell him he didn't actually get it off of the ground.

Then he called his buds to tell them about it.

Two posts in one week, my oh my!

Liz brought Ellie over for a play date and then Ellie's friend Xiali joined us for a few hours. Julian loves loves loves hanging with other kids.

We expect a very sound nap this afternoon!

Please make no note of the fact that it was 2:15 by the time they left, and Julian is still in his jammies. Not quite sure how that happened...something about 'the bath will be any minute, why put him in his clothes' blah blah blah. I am brewing all kinds of ideas, suddenly, about never taking him out of the pajamas. I mean really, they are so comfy, and wouldn't it be great not to have to do 2 loads of laundry a week just of baby clothes? And babies are so cute in pajamas! Julian hates getting in and out of clothing, so it would settle that as well.

Hmmm...

Kisses, Balloons, and the New Trellis.

We had another get together at Ada and Greg's this weekend. Christine was in town with Jackson and even though it wasn't exactly sunny, a pool party seemed in order.

Shay got some stickers in her foot and Ada made her a lavender foot bath.
Ah, the joys of all natural parenting.

Nala and Julian finally started noticing each other- they are a week apart and we hope for them to become fast buds. Looks like more than buds to me, hmmmm?

I'm not sure Julian had ever even seen a balloon before. He was super excited.
Can you believe how much like a boy, and not a baby this kid looks already?

And last but not least, we have a rule at our house that anyone (Jon) can start any project he or she (he) wishes, but if it is not done within a year, anyone else (Sam) can hire someone to finish it.

So...I proudly announce that the trellis designed by Jon, with the help of Amy and Terry, and started at the beginning of summer 2006, has been completed by Dan-o and the boys (contractors extraordinaire.) May I say "woo hoo!"?
